Wii Fit – Day 61

So, this weekend, I officially got to 60 days of Wii Fit usage. And, (drumroll please!!!), I have managed to loose 14.1 lbs! I am down to 211 and I started at 225.1 lbs. So, yeah, 7 lbs in 30 days is doable, eh? That means that by Christmas, I might be down to my “ideal” weight.

Of course, “ideal” is really rather ridiculous, they’re talking 157lbs or so if I’m between 5’10 and 5’11. That seems WAY too skinny to me. Honestly, I’m going to be happy just getting to 190-195. If I can get that far and then step into maintenance mode I’ll be VERY happy indeed. In fact, they also say that if you work out to build muscle, then you’ll actually gain weight since muscle is much heavier than fat. So, it seems to me that if I’m between 190 and 195 and in decent shape, then I’ll actually be in pretty good shape. And, to think that just a little less than a year ago I was at 235lbs and not doing ANY exersize and I was eating too much fast food, drinking WAYYYYY too much soda, and just generally being a sloth, I’m actually really doing something pretty fantastic.

A couple of notes:
1) I’m still walking at the mall, but I think the cement floors are starting to take a toll on my knees. I may have to find an alternate walking spot.
2) I’m still finding that I get occasional pains or irritations in my legs and ankles, so I must be maybe working a bit too hard still.
3) I’m also finding that if I deviate from my diet (not that I’m on a great one, but I’m really trying hard not to eat fast food or eat TOO much or TOO late at night), then WHAM I gain 2-3 lbs instantly. So, this will be an ongoing, continuous struggle. Oh well, as long as I can find a good mix and keep at it, I’ll be successful at this!!!!!!!!!

So, yeah, things are looking good in the Wii Fit department.
